Help wanted: Financial controller for GTA based manufacturer

Our client, a privately owned successful Canadian manufacturing company in the northwest GTA is looking for a new Financial Controller to lead
the finance team.

Responsibilities include:

Managing the month end/year end processes;

Preparing monthly/quarterly financial reporting;

Assisting with budget/forecast process;

Overseeing  A/P & A/R team members;

Participating in senior leadership meetings to support strategic decisions;

Preparing working papers to assist the external auditors;

Strength and experience in operating in a cost accounting environment;

Improving processes and strengthening internal controls;

Oversight of key management information systems.

Skills & Knowledge requirements:

CGA or CMA designation;

Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment;

Proven track record in fast-paced, deadline driven environment;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Excellent spoken English.  French language skills are also an asset;

Effective problem solving and decision making skills.
